Vegan & Gluten Free Super Energy Balls....

I've been asked a few times regarding recipes, if you follow my instagram, twitter, or Facebook page (links below!) you'll notice that I'm eating super healthy alongside working out to get myself to a better happier place.
I thought I should start with a fairly easy but also quite open to suggestion healthy treat, these chocolatey nut filled energy balls that require no specific measurements, and you can easily change it up as often as you like.

For these particular ones, and also my usual ones, I used the following ingredients:-

Maca Powder
Cacao Powder
Goji Berries
Dates (soaked for twenty minutes)
Raw Almonds
Pistachio Nuts
Chia Seeds
Coconut Oil (melted in pan)

You can also add any other types of dried fruit like apricots, figs, etc or preferred nuts like hazelnuts or brazil nuts, the only ingredient I think of as a must for these balls are the coconut oil, and the cacao powder to give it that sweet kick.
Simply put all of the ingredients you are using in a high powered blender, I find about a table spoon of the coconut oil works best, as you don't want the mix to be too oily or too dry.
It gets a little messy once the mixture is ready, as you need to roll the mixture into balls, which also gives you a good indication of how the mix has worked as you want to have the oil transferring onto hands slightly, but not a huge mess of mixture.
Once rolled into balls you can leave plain or add a coating, I like to use chopped nuts, chia seeds, dissected coconut, or cacao nibs, they generally stick quite well and add extra flavour too.
Once they are ready and on your baking tray, simply stick them in the fridge for an hour to set.

These have helped us out on many occasions as they're so easy to have in your bag for after the gym, travelling, or just an extra boost throughout the day as they are very filling, and jam packed full of goodness!

Its a Kinda Magic...!

I always love love love My Little Box instalments, they are always much more interesting and exciting than many of the subscription services I have tried, and I'm always excited to open up a new box.
This months christmassy instalment was a magical themed box, more make up magic with most items being geared towards that party filled time of year when we go out in our finest despite the cold. This was probably the sparkliest box I've had from them so far, and also the most varied, including some lovely surprises with the very handy (ba-boom!) mittens, which I received very gratefully with the weather turning every which way this season.
The Kusmi tea was quite unexpected, but it smells absolutely delicious!
To try it I will have to find a way of brewing it as I haven't the correct equipment for such, being more a tea bag lady myself.
The make up got me most excited, as seeing a NARS box usually does, I'm quite a fan of their range and this cute miniature blusher in a shade I actually do wear, orgasm, was the icing on the cake for me.
The nail polish is also a cute touch, from their own in house My Little Beauty range, tho I have an aversion to glitter nail polish being extremely annoying to remove.
There was also a Rituals rose and honey body cream perfect for that winter dry skin from wrapping it under too many layers.
All of the make up this month came inside a My Little Beauty black and glittery gold make up bag, from their in house illustrator Kanako.
Once again this was totally worth it's monthly subscription of £11 (not including p&p) and I cannot wait to see what Januarys box has in store.
