Hope Girl - Leopard Print Dreams

Alongside the amazing Memebox I wrote about last week, a few extra items were put into the parcel from a make up brand called Hope Girl.
Another popular Korean based brand, and available worldwide via the Memebox shop, they promise high quality products and since they are popular in 18 different countries so far, I guess that is a promise they have kept!

I loved the look of the leopard print on the packaging, so imagine my glee when I saw that the actual products themselves have leopard print details too!!
The designs are just the right mix of kitsch, retro, and girliness for me, they will be left on the top of my dressing table for the world to see, that packaging is so cute it really must be displayed.

In the miniature nail polish set, housed in a little box with suitcase style handles, there were three different shades of gold mini nail paints in the dainty little bottles.
They look so cute, but I think they'll make me come over all bond girl flashing my long golden finger nails at every opportunity.

The powder pots are absolutely adorable, they will look amazing on any make up stand or dressing table, I kinda wish I could find these on sale in the UK so I can see the full range in one place, tho I worry that I'd end up spending all the money I had left in the world before rolling around on the flor surrounded by products shouting "But they're so cuuuuute!" while Edd looked on disapprovingly and tutted.

The powder brush picked up a generous amount of the colour, and it's such a lovely colour too.
It's the perfect shade of deep muted pink that will make a beautiful refresher blush for autumn, a season I love to compliment due to the beautiful colours of the falling leaves.
I'll be keeping this one perched on top of my dressing table, awaiting the season change when I shall put away the highlighter and the apricot blush to swap for this more adult sophisticated tone that I shall match with cosy jumpers and hot chocolates.

This lovely little poofy pink powder is a perfumed body powder thats easily applied and absorbed onto the skin for a lovely fresh clean scent.
It's quite fun to apply using the built in puff and gives this particular product a vintage feel and felt so luxurious I may have to apply this powder fresh from the bath, wearing a baby doll and pretending to be Jayne Mansfield.

Not only was a gifted with these amazing powders and nail polish paints, but pretty much given a whole new look with mascara and lipstick, of course in matching packaging!
I'm a huge lover of red lipstick so I was glad to see they had sent me a red shade to try, this one is Chicago Red.
Again the packaging is what I can only describe as 'squee-licious' and I can imagine I may make a little section to house these leopard print packaged items together to show them off as much as possible.

Is it just me, but as well as being such lovely cute products, don't they just photograph really well...?!?!
This make up has given me an entirely new look just ahead of the season change, and all finished with a lovely vintage lip and fluttering eyelashes.
This company have so much more to offer too, I'm eyeing up their lip glosses that come intact with an LED light and mirror on the side!
You can buy these products, and so much more from our Korean beauty box friends, Memebox via their website, you can also pick up the latest Memebox while there, and get a $5 discount using this special code for our readers - HAH3SH - valid until the end of August.
Will you follow your leopard print dreams?

1 Cup Almond Milk (or soya)
1 Teaspoon Cider Vinegar
1/4 Cup Groundnut (or Rapeseed) Oil
1 - 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Essence
One Punnet of Fresh Raspberries

Cupcake Baking Directions -
Step 1 - Preheat oven to 200, or gas mark 5.
Prepare the cupcake cases into the muffin pan.
Step 2 - Measure out one cup of milk and add a teaspoon of cider vinegar before mixing, set to one side to 'sour'.
Step 3 - In a large mixing bowl place flour and sugar together and mix with a whisk.

Step 4 - In the milk mixture, pour the oil of your choosing, and vanilla essence and give a quick mix.
Step 5 - Pour the milk mixture into the bowl of flour and sugar before whisking.
Step 6 - Give the mixture a thorough mixing to ensure there are no lumps, and the mixture has combined completely.

Step 7 - Get your muffin tray at the ready and using an ice cream scoop, or table spoon pop the mixture into the cases, ensuring they are filled 3/4 of the way up, you will get between 10 - 12 cupcakes using this recipe.
Step 8 - Pop two raspberries into each case in the centre of the mixture, if the raspberries are rather small than use three.
Step 9 - It's time to bake! Pop them into the middle shelf of your pre-heated oven for 18 - 20 minutes, keeping an eye on them from the 17 minute mark.

Step 10 - Once they are ready, your timer has pinged, and they look lovely and golden take them out of the oven.
Step 11 - Check they are fully cooked by checking if the sponge bounces back when gently prodded.
If they do they are done, if not give them another 3 - 5 minutes.
Step 12 - Leave them on the side to cool, when your cakes will be ready to ice!

Icing Ingredients -
Knob of Butter or Margarine
A Generous Helping of Cream Cheese (Tofutti Vegan Cream Cheese is the Best)
Icing Sugar
Vanilla Essence
Toppings of your Choice

Icing Directions -
Step 1 - Add butter or margarine and the cream cheese into a smaller mixing bowl. Mix with a fork until they are well blended together.
Step 2 - Add a teaspoon of Vanilla Essence to the mixture to give it a sweeter taste.
Step 3 - Start to add the icing sugar bit by bit, mixing as you go.

Step 4 - Once the icing sugar has reached the consistency you prefer, using the fork start to dollop on a helping you prefer to the centre of the cake.
Step 5 - Using the fork, swirl the dollop to cover the top of the cake evenly, and give it a nicer look.
Step 6 - Sprinkle on a topping of your choice, I prefer to use digestive biscuit crumbs, toasted almonds, sprinkles, and if I have any left, an extra raspberry in the centre.

These cupcakes are great for special occasions, or just for a lovely treat!
I served these at our engagement party, and they were so popular that I just had to share my recipe, so many people want to eat these cakes again and again.
Edd was waiting with baited breath till I had finished photographing these cakes to eat three in a row!
He was very patient, so I think it's forgivable!

I hope you've all enjoyed this post, and will give these cakes a go!
If you'd like anymore recipe posts, just leave a request in the comments below, and I'll do my very best to respond with another recipe blog.
Happy eating, and serves well with tea, or prosecco!

Memebox Birthday Edition

I loved my last Memebox (pronounced MiMi) so when I got an email telling me they had sent me another package I was so excited to see what was inside!
This time it was their Birthday Box No. 42 (the meaning of life...!) with a range of products from Korean beauty brand, i Belivyu, and as it was my birthday as the box came out I believe it was fate!

It turned up beautifully wrapped, and it was lovely to have a little late gift arrive too!
I was surprised at how full this box was, possibly as I'm so used to the british beauty boxes and the huge amount of space left in each box....
As the ingredients and info on the products were generally written in Korean there was again the handy guide which tells you all the information you need to know about the products.

All of the products inside are full sized too, which means I'll be using them for a while yet!
This all in one is a one stop shop for cleanliness, and the smell is just lovely too, it has a mix of apricot, carrot, green tea, rosemary, gold extracts (!?) and more which makes it smell like a spring afternoon picnic in a park surrounded by flowers and freshly cut grass.
The large pump makes it so easy to use, and it's great for quick morning showering before you have to run out of the door.

I've been stocking up on hand creams lately, so to receive four all different scented ones...?!
Be still my beating heart!
They're all smaller creams so will fit into my handbag fairly easily, the only problem will be trying to decide which scent to go for each day, or do I use them one by one till they run out??
They are full of vitamin E, shea butter, and argan oil but each with a different flower extract, one of course is rose, another sunflower, and the purple lavender, but there is also safflower seed oil which is a new one for me, so I shall opt for this one first.

These two caused the loudest "OOOH!" from me, once I figured out the slide action and glanced the bottles slowly ascending from the packaging I could imagine having these stood in a row in the worlds chicest bathroom.
They look like a mix between science supplies, and baking supplies.

The sugar cube scrub are cubes filled with extra vitamins and baking soda to give a deep clean, but they also contain lemon oil and extracts for super clean skin.
You can also use these as a shower wash, or drop into your bath but as you need a few to drop in, but only one to clean face with I think I'll stick to using them as a face wash.
The Powder wash also contains vitamins, but also macadamia and olive oil for soft skin and hydration.
I'm guessing this one will last much longer as there is more inside, but even when they are empty these bottles may have to live inside my bathroom.

Sadly this box has now sold out, Memeboxes generally get snapped up really quickly, and as they are the largest Korean beauty box supplier, supplying not only Korea, but the world you have to get in there quickly!
There are plenty of other amazing boxes to chose from, and we have a special discount code available for our readers! If you would like to give on of their boxes a try, simply type in HAH3SH for a $5 discount, valid until the end of August.

These are the best beauty boxes I have ever had delivered to my door, every box leaves me full of excited anticipation, it's definitely an experience everyone should try.
Will you give them a go?
